Chlorophyll, acids, starch, gallo-tannin, asperulin, asperulosid, saponin,Iridoids,poly phonlic acids [caffeic, p-coumaric, gallic , p- hydroxybenzoic acid ] Flavonoids, tannins, coumarins.

Uses:

Used to cleanse the blood, lymph glands, enlarged lymph glands, lymphoma, breast cancer, tumours. Also used to clear cystitis, oedema, for tonsillitis, skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis. Clivers was also used as an ointment for scalds and burns in the fourteenth century. In France the crushed herb is applied as a poultice to sores and blisters. It has been used to assist with panic attacks and stress.
