Constituents:

Sapponins, Clerodane triterpenes, Phenolic acids and glucosides including saysillic,vanillic, caffeic virgaureoside and leicarposide, volatile oil, composed of limonene, elemene, myrcene. Flavonoids such as rutin, astragalin, hyperoside, quercetin.Tannins.

Uses:

Primarily used for diseases of the urinary system like cystitis UTI, Bladder and kidney stones,anuria,dysuria, Haematuria, Nephritis. Also is very usefulmin formulas for hayfever and sinnusitis. Some of the sapponins are antifungal and are useful against oral and vaginal thrush. It can be used as a moth wash for oral thrush or a douche for vaginal thrush. The rutin in Golden rod may useful for treating blood noses.

Majikal Uses:

The flower is used to find hidden or lost objects,it is used in money spells. If it unexpectedly starts growing near the house door it indicates unexpected good fortune.
